PROGRAMS FOR KIDS & FAMILIES

At Harmony & Horses, we believe that meaningful learning happens when children feel safe, engaged, and free to follow their natural curiosity.

Our sessions are often child-led, allowing each participant to explore what draws their interest in the moment. Instead of rigid, highly structured lessons, we follow the child’s lead and gently guide learning through real-life experiences as they unfold.

This approach is especially supportive for children with autism, ADHD, and PDA, as it reduces pressure, honors autonomy, and creates space for authentic connection and growth.

Horses remain at the heart of our work, but learning extends beyond them. Children engage with the full farm environment, including other animals, nature, and hands-on experiences that support regulation, confidence, and connection.

Connection-led. Child-centered. Rooted in real-life experiences.

Private 1:1 Experiences

Ongoing, relationship-based support over time.

Personalized, relationship-based experiences designed around your child’s unique needs, interests, and goals.

Each session is thoughtfully guided, but often child-led, allowing your child to follow their natural curiosity and motivation. This creates space for authentic engagement and meaningful learning through real-life experiences as they unfold.

Sessions are primarily ground-based and may include working with horses, interacting with other farm animals, and engaging with the natural environment. Riding may be incorporated when appropriate to deepen connection, confidence, and body awareness.

Rather than following a strict curriculum, we meet your child where they are and support growth in the moment. These experiences often become the most powerful opportunities for developing emotional regulation, communication, confidence, and connection.

This approach is especially supportive for children with autism, ADHD, and PDA, as it reduces pressure, honors autonomy, and allows skills to develop naturally through relationship and experience.

📚 Optional: Horse Powered Reading®

A research-based, hands-on approach that integrates literacy development with equine-assisted learning.

This offering may be incorporated into private sessions when it aligns with your child’s interests and goals, supporting reading, comprehension, and confidence through movement, interaction, and real-world experience.

Investment:
$285 for 3 sessions (required minimum)
$95 per additional session

Sessions are 50 minutes

What This Can Look Like

No two sessions are exactly the same, but experiences may include:

  • Brushing, leading, and connecting with horses

  • Spending time with pigs, chickens, ducks, and other farm animals

  • Exploring the property through sensory-rich, nature-based activities

  • Practicing communication, boundaries, and problem-solving in real time

  • Quiet observation, reflection, and mindfulness moments

  • Creative, hands-on experiences guided by the child’s interests

In each moment, we look for natural opportunities to support:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Confidence and self-trust

  • Social connection and communication

  • Flexibility and problem-solving

  • A deeper sense of calm and belonging

💛 Our Philosophy

We do not expect children to fit into a program.

We create experiences that meet children where they are.

When children feel safe, supported, and genuinely engaged, learning happens naturally. Confidence grows. Connection deepens. And skills develop in a way that truly lasts.
